A press conference dedicated to the start of work of the Center for Endoprosthetics, Osseointegration and Bionics was held

The center of endoprosthetics, osseointegration and bionics, which started its work in the metropolitan diagnostic and treatment center "Mirum".

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, several tens of thousands of soldiers have lost or injured one or more limbs. Not all of them need prosthetics, but, according to doctors, up to 4,000 soldiers already need complex prosthetics, endoprosthesis or osseointegration. The conference will discuss the most common causes of injuries and features of prosthetics for Ukrainian soldiers, the non-governmental organization of medical assistance to injured soldiers, international cooperation in this field, and the use of the latest medical techniques.

On the same day, the tenth complex operation to restore bones and joints was performed for Ukrainian soldiers as part of the Center's work.
