This surgery is indicated in the following cases: 3-4 stage of deforming osteoarthritis of a knee, aseptic necrosis of femoral and tibia condyles. During the operation, a surgeon applies a special navigation system to straighten the axis of the extremity to eliminate varus (O-shaped) or more complex valgus (X-shaped) knee deformity.

The surgery lasts 1-1.5 hour under the spinal anesthesia. Rehabilitation and walking with crutches begins since the first day after the operation. The patient has to stay at clinic about a week.
